of the gate, you may never catch up. Nowhere is this more true than in
leadership transitions: unspoken concerns, unclear expectations, ambiguous
priorities…these are the hidden “leaks in the hull” that can sink a team when
it’s too far downstream to recover.

interview the new leader and his/her team members, and facilitate a structured
process of clarifying expectations and priorities, and voicing concerns, in
order to achieve alignment and openness.
