Advising High-Level Leaders Why? Most senior leaders tell us they see themselves as the same early-career executive of 20 years ago. Their challenge comes in the fact that everyone else sees them very, very differently. The higher a leader’s rank, the more “filtered” their feedback from others. Additionally, they have more difficulty in having sensitive “sounding board” discussions without arousing rumor or angst in their organizations. This coaching program is highly confidential, and customized for the particular needs of the senior executive. We often focus on the executive’s specific development opportunities, as well as sensitive people- or team-related decisions. Because this coaching program tends to be of longer duration, we have time to develop a deeper understanding of how the business works, who the key players are, the external challenges, and the strategic plan. This enables us to provide an objective, unbiased perspective when needed. Tools: Varied, depending on the particular needs. Time: Usually one year or longer. Usually 8 hours in months one and two, 2-4 hours in subsequent months. Maximum availability, to accommodate executive’s schedule.
